Windows Application Labels
vScope categorizes discovered Windows applications and updates with labels that describe what kind of application or update they are. These labels can be used when browsing, grouping, and filtering application inventory.
Application labels
Section titled “Application labels”| Label | Applied to |
|---|---|
| Windows Application | Microsoft Store apps and built-in Windows AppX/MSIX packages. |
| User Installed Application | Applications installed separately for a specific Windows user. |
| Windows Update | Windows updates and patches. |

Discovery behavior
Section titled “Discovery behavior”- Labels are applied consistently for applications discovered through Windows (PowerShell) and Windows (WinRM).
- Duplicate labels are not shown if the same application is discovered more than once.
- Collecting User Installed Application and Windows Application labels requires the related application inventory settings to be enabled on the Windows discovery credential.
