Register License

Goal: activate vScope with your license, either online or on an offline server.

You may need to register a license in two situations:

• During installation (the setup wizard asks for it).
• After installation from the Settings > License page (for renewals or replacing a trial).

Before you start

• Access to the vScope Account Portal (this login is separate from the vScope application).
• A license code from an active subscription or trial, or the ability to create a new trial/subscription.
• For offline installs: an internet-connected machine to download the license file and a way to transfer it to the server.

Register online

1. Go to the vScope Account Portal and sign in with your portal credentials.
2. Open the Licenses tab.
   • If you already have a subscription or trial, copy the license code shown there.
   • If you need an account, create one at Register organization, start a trial or choose a plan, then return to Licenses to get the code.
3. Apply the code in vScope:
   • During installation: when the setup wizard prompts for a license, paste the code to continue.
   • After installation: in vScope, go to Settings > Subscription & License > Activate license, paste the code, and save.

Register offline

Use this when the vScope server cannot reach the internet.

1. On an internet-connected machine, sign in to the Account Portal and open Licenses.
2. Click Download License to get the license file.
3. Transfer the license file to the offline vScope server.
4. Upload the license file:
   • During installation: when the wizard asks for a license, choose Upload license file and select it.
   • After installation: in vScope, go to Settings > Subscription & License, choose Activate license, choose upload license file, and click Activate. The license update continues once the file is accepted.
