Run first discovery & verify

Run a discovery to pull in assets from the source you just added.

Steps

1. Go to Discovery → Summary.
2. Click Start Discovery.
3. Wait for the run to finish.

Expected result

• Summary shows a completed run.
• Discovery results shows successful messages.
• You see asset types related to your source (e.g., Users/Computers for AD, VMs/Hosts for VMware, Subscriptions/Resources for Azure).

Troubleshooting

• Errors? Open Summary → Log History to investigate detailed discovery errors.
• Empty result: network blocked or wrong target – ping/resolve the target from the vScope host.
• Permission errors: verify required roles for the provider.
