Complete setup
After successfully installing vScope, focus on completing the setup by configuring user management, email settings, and security settings. Here are the three steps make your install production-ready:
User management: Single sign-on / IDP
Section titled “User management: Single sign-on / IDP”- Recommended: use Single Sign-On (SAML 2.0 or OpenID Connect) so accounts follow your IDP policies.
Set up SSO. - Alternative: manage users via Active Directory (LDAP).
Directory integration. - Map groups/roles as needed regardless of source.
- Verify by signing in to vScope with your domain account using the configured IDP.
Notifications & Sharing: Email server
Section titled “Notifications & Sharing: Email server”- Configure SMTP so invitations, notifications, alerts and schedules can be delivered: Email server.
- Verify by sending a test email to your email address
Security: HTTPS for the UI
Section titled “Security: HTTPS for the UI”- Use your reverse proxy or cert to secure the web UI: HTTPS setup.
- Verify by ensuring that your session is using https in the browser.
