Connecting Microsoft 365 with vScope extends your inventory with cloud assets such as user accounts, license assignments, and user activity. To set up the connection, configure an Azure App Registration with the required read permissions.

Adding Microsoft 365 to vScope Discovery

1. Follow Azure setup instructions to connect vScope to Azure. This Azure setup creates the app registration and permissions needed for Microsoft 365 data.
2. Go to Discovery > Credentials > Azure RM > Advanced
   1. Enable Reports under Azure AD
   2. Enable Sign-In Events to capture detailed user activity; this may increase discovery time

Based on Microsoft’s public documentation, vScope maps license plan IDs to friendly names. Because the documentation is incomplete, some license plans may not have a Friendly Name available.
