Backup

To protect your vScope data, you can either manage your own backup or use InfraSight Labs’ secure cloud backup option. Choose the backup method that best suits your organization’s requirements to maintain the integrity and safety of your vScope data.

Managing Your Own Backup

For local backup management, ensure that you include the essential contents from the C:\vScopeData directory. Back up the following folders and files:

  • Folders:
    • configuration
    • global
    • projects
    • users
  • Files:
    • license.lic

By excluding certain non-essential files, you can streamline the backup process and conserve storage space. Files and folders that do not need to be backed up include:

  • .vSync
  • log
  • updater

This selective approach focuses on the core components needed for vScope’s disaster recovery.
