System Requirements

vScope can be hosted on a virtual or physical server within your data center. Below are the minimum requirements for optimal performance:

• Operating System: Windows, Linux, or Docker*
• Memory: 12 GB RAM (dedicate 8 GB specifically to vScope)
• CPU: 2 CPU cores
• Storage: 60 GB HDD (SSD recommended for improved performance)
• Network Access: The server must have access to all resources that will be inventoried by vScope
• Installation Access: Ensure the server can access vScope’s installation file on the vScope Download page

Note

While vScope can run in Docker and Linux, certain inventory functions (such as Windows WMI) are only supported on native Windows installations. We recommend using PowerShell for Windows inventory when hosting vScope on Docker or Linux.
