System Requirements

vScope can be hosted on a virtual or physical server within your data center. Below are the minimum and recommended requirements to ensure optimal performance.

Recommended Requirements

• Operating System: Windows, Linux, or Docker*
• Memory: 12-32 GB RAM (allocate at least 8-24 GB to vScope) – depending on the datacenter size.
• CPU: 2 CPU cores
• Storage: 60 GB HDD (SSD recommended for improved performance)
• Network Access: The server must have access to all resources vScope will inventory.
• Installation Access: Ensure the server can download the vScope installation file.

Installation Instructions

Ensure that vScope has the necessary permissions to use required ports and write to disk.

Note

While vScope supports Docker and Linux installations, certain inventory functions—such as Windows WMI—are only available on native Windows installations. If hosting vScope on Docker or Linux, use PowerShell for Windows inventory.
