Building a Table
With Tables in vScope, you can easily create custom tables—no scripting required! This method works for all asset types, from user accounts and applications to servers and databases. Follow these steps to create tables in vScope that track key data across your assets. By following these steps, you can create tailored tables in vScope to track and document important data across your assets. Let’s build a sample table: User Accounts That Haven’t Logged in for 30 Days.
Three Steps to Building a Table
- Select the asset type for the table.
- Choose the information (columns) to include.
- Apply filters to narrow down your results. … and of course, we will show you how to save and share the table to members of your team.
Select the Asset Type
In Tables, click Create Table to begin. Choose the asset type for the table; in this example, select User Accounts.
Choose Information to Include
Expand + Column on the right to browse available tags for your chosen asset.
For this table, select the Email and Time Since Last Logon tags from the dropdown menu. This data will display as columns in the table, automatically populated by vScope.
Apply Filters
To refine the results, add a filter to display only user accounts that haven’t logged in for over 30 days. Use the Filter Panel on the right to set a range filter for Time Since Last Logon—no coding required.
Once the filter is applied, your table will display only user accounts that haven’t logged in within the specified time frame.
Save & Collaborate
Click Save to store the table in your Library. Give it a name and, if needed, include a description for clarity. For quick access, hit the Star button to mark the table as a favorite. Favorited tables are easier to find in the Library or on the Home Screen.
To share the table with others, click Collaborators to adjust the sharing settings. Collaboration is a key feature in vScope, enabling team members across departments to access and work with the same updated information, ensuring consistency and alignment. You can also invite people to join vScope by entering their email address. They will then receive an email notification, if the have sufficient permission, they can login to vScope.
