vScope offers a direct bridge to access warranty data from Lenovo’s warranty portal. By integrating vScope with Lenovo’s services, you can achieve enhanced lifecycle management and comprehensive asset visibility.

To access the warranty API, you need to create an API key. The simplest way is to contact your Lenovo account manager and request a warranty API key.

To begin viewing the warranty status of your Lenovo devices, the first step is to establish a secure connection within vScope:

  1. Go to Discovery > Credentials.
  2. Click Create credential, select Warranty, and choose Lenovo as the provider.
  3. Click Save.

After saving, vScope pulls Lenovo warranty details on the next discovery run.

Lenovo warranty calls use HTTPS; the vScope server needs internet access to obtain warranty data. If a firewall is in place, allowlist https://supportapi.lenovo.com on port 443.

Upon initial discovery of new Lenovo devices, vScope will automatically fetch their warranty status. Warranty data updates automatically each month after the initial discovery.
