Error Message ‘User Already Exists in Active Directory’

When creating a new local vScope user you might get the error message “User Already Exists in Active Directory”. This means that vScope has found a user with the same Email address in the integrated Active Directory/LDAP and can’t create a new one.

  1. Use a different email address or…
  2. Add the user account from the AD/LDAP.
    1. Go to Settings in vScope
    2. Navigate to LDAP/AD integration
    3. Go to Group Mapping and add AD group with the requested user. In some cases, it is recommended to create a new user group in the AD for vScope users.
