How to install a proxy on Linux

Please see step 1 in this guide before installing!

  • Download the proxy installer package on the intended discovery proxy server: Download for Linux OS
  • Run the installer
  • Configure the connection to the master vScope. Edit the following file: /etc/vscopeproxy/config.ini
  • In the same file, add the row: proxy.master.host=vscope-master, where “vscope-master” is the hostname or IP number to the vScope Master.
  • If you have changed the port to which vScope master is connected, you have to add it to the proxy configuration with the row: proxy.master.port=4445, where “4445” is the port to which the vScope Master is connected. Save the config.ini file and restart the service.
